Menno Hospital Auxiliary

Our Purpose

  • Is to provide volunteers to the Hospital who will enhance Residents’ comfort through visiting, transporting and establishing friendships.
  • To initiate funding for special needs such as equipment, as approved by the Hospital and the Auxiliary membership
  • To foster good relations between the Hospital and the Community
  • To serve the Hospital, promoting the Residents’ welfare in a manner approved by the Hospital.

Membership

Is open to those interested in looking for a rewarding, challenging and fulfilling opportunity to participate and make a difference in the work of the Menno Hospital Auxiliary. The Auxiliary volunteers support and assist the staff and provide an important link for Residents to the community.

Volunteers are needed to carry on existing Auxiliary programs and to help create new ones. The generous hearts and willing hands of the Auxiliary members assist with:

  • The Menno Place Fireside Treasures Gift Shop
  • Reading & writing letters
  • Candy Striper program
  • Visiting & transporting residents
  • Assisting residents to medical appointments
  • Special Events
  • Special Fund-raising projects
  • Mending of clothes
  • Knitting articles for the Gift Shop
  • Reception greeters
