Leanne Tanner has worked at Menno Place for 23 years in a myriad of different roles!
She is an integral part of the community at Menno Place, and we are so excited to share this Q+A with you…

Q: List all the different roles you’ve had at Menno Place:

A: Housekeeping coordinator, housekeeper, laundry aide, stores attendant, and receptionist.

Q: What was your first job?

A: Secretarial work at a printing company.

Q: Where is your dream vacation spot?

A: Somewhere with white sandy beach and clear blue water where I can just relax!

Q: What are some small things that make your day better?

A: Laughter – even if it’s laughing at myself. It is good medicine

Q: What is your favourite thing about working at Menno Place?

A: Having meaningful connections with staff, residents, their families and visitors.

Q: What are you looking forward to in the next year?

A: Well I’m going to have knee surgery so not really looking forward to it…but hopefully it will deal with the pain and mobility issues I’ve been having. I can’t plan much else so I’ve got to make the best of that.

Q: What’s your favourite holiday?

A: Probably Christmas – to celebrate what God has done for us and for a chance to get together with family and friends, attend special events and do some once a year baking 😉 Bring on the fudge!
