Will I be asked to give more than my sponsored amount?
No. Your gift will only be used to match donations up to the amount you contribute.
What will my sponsorship support?
Your gift will help fund this season’s The Difference is YOU campaign priorities: new warming cabinets ($62,000 goal), transfer aide lifts ($16,000 goal) and slings ($25,000 goal) for resident care, a staff appreciation fund ($15,000 goal), and Dementia Journey training for our caregivers ($20,050 goal).
What happens if campaign donations exceed my match amount?
All additional donations will still be received and celebrated, but only your sponsored amount will be used for matching.

People give more, and more often, when their impact is doubled.
What happens if public donations don’t reach the full match amount?
We still rely on the full Matching Sponsor commitment, even if public donations fall short. Your gift will be used to support this season’s priorities for seniors in long-term care, with every dollar still making a meaningful difference. The match simply sets a goal to inspire others to give, but your full sponsored amount is still needed and still put to work for resident care.
Will I still get a tax receipt if my business is publicly recognized?
It depends on the option you choose on the donation form below. You’ll be asked, “Would you like a full tax receipt for this gift?” Yes means we’ll list your business once on the public campaign web page, and you’ll get a full tax receipt. No means we’ll feature your business across our campaign promotions, including our website, email, posters, and social media, but CRA counts that promotion as a benefit, so you won’t receive a tax receipt. If you’d rather talk it through with someone first, you’re welcome to contact us at Advancement@MennoPlace.ca or 604.851.3102 before giving.
What are my options for giving offline?
If you prefer to give by cheque and mail it to us at Menno Place, 32945 Marshall Road, Abbotsford, BC V2S 1K1 (Attention Advancement Department). You can also email our Advancement team at Advancement@MennoPlace.ca or phone 604.851.3102, and let us know your recognition preference, full public promotion or a single listing with a full tax receipt, so we can process your gift correctly.
I’d like to donate a gift for the staff Christmas party instead of becoming a Matching Sponsor. How do I do that?
