Dan Janzen, Social Worker

Dan has worked at Menno Place for just over three years. He has 16 years of combined experience working in residential care and as an employment coordinator, assisting individuals with mental health and developmental disabilities with finding and maintaining work in their community. He is an incredible asset at Menno Place.

Today, we asked him a couple questions to get to know him better!

Q: Why do you enjoy working at Menno Place?

A: It is a privilege getting to know the residents and families and providing various supports to enhance their quality of life. I like that I can come to work knowing I have a strong support team.

Q: If you could travel anywhere in the world right now, where would you go?

A: Australia, as it would be great to meet some of my extended family. I am always open to Hawaii as well.

Q: Who knows you best in the whole world?

A: My wife, my close friends and family.

Q: List four adjectives that person would use to describe you.

A: Diligent
Reliable
Impartial
Empathetic

Q: What do you listen to in the car?

A: Mostly songs on my phone. I enjoy various genre’s of music (rock, jazz, electronic, hip-hop, 70’s, 80’s etc)

Q: How do you recharge?

A: Spending time with my family, going out with friends and vacationing where it is warm.
