It’s hard to describe the feeling of Grandparents Day if you haven’t been here in person. Imagine a courtyard full of hundreds of seniors and children and family of all ages and everyone is laughing.

It is a magical day.

There are kids chasing bubbles with cotton candy on their faces. There are seniors with balloon animals on their wrists rolling up to play a giant version Connect 4. There’s country dancing, and music and a photobooth with silly props. There’s a quieter corner for crafts and the BBQ have the whole area smelling great. There are memories be made as far as the eye can see, in small groups and large groups – sometimes as many as four generations enjoying the day together.

It just might be our favourite day of the year (and from what we hear from residents and families, it might be yours too.)
